The Company believes that its identity will be shaped by the challenges and opportunities presented by its “remote” natural and social environment. We believe that our identity, like that of every regional theatre company, is an expression of the unique features of the region. North Queensland embraces dry tropics, rain forest
and the wonders of the Great Barrier Reef, socially, it is a pioneering community, with a very long.history of multiculturalism and a large Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander and Islander population. Tropic Sun aspires to interpret this culture to the world.
