FROM OUR DIRECTOR

JEAN~PIERRE VOOS
Earlier this year I was was host to a Portuguese back-packer, Rui Guerra, offering him a couch (we are members of the world-wide ‘Couchsurfers’). My visitor turned out to be a young graphic artist and I accepted his offer to design the poster for the play LOVEPUKE. After his stay in Australia Rui is at present visiting New Zealand. A few days ago, hitchhiking in the South Island, he was given a lift by an actor who turned out to be a close friend of the New Zealander, Duncan Sarkies – the playwright who wrote LOVEPUKE!

INTRODUCING

MADONNA DAVIES
After a few years as Administrator (first with Interplay, then with Tropic Sun) Madonna recently sang and recited the show-stopping scatological poems in LOVEPUKE (which just finished its sell-out run at the Old Magistrates’ Court). Now she plays The Nurse, a key role in our upcoming production of ROMEO & JULIET – Another performance not to be missed.
