A PLAY IN FOCUS

Duncan Sarkies’ saucy comedy LOVEPUKE is “the most fun you can have without wearing a condom! “ A sexy, bright, dynamic & engaging comedy for anybody who has ever said “Who knows, this could be the one!” A wildly entertaining play in the vein of 'Friends' & 'Ally McBeal' ...a humorous look at love and all its bruises .This somewhat surreal play charts the progress of eight young people as they go looking for love, with mixed results. Will they live happily ever after?

FROM OUR DIRECTOR

JEAN~PIERRE VOOS
Eight brilliant, versatile actors have just joined us from JCU and it’s a joy working with them producing Duncan Sarkies’ extraordinary comedy LOVEPUKE. Something you should not miss! We’ve also just completed a most interesting survey giving us the latest ‘reading’ of people’s orientation to the performing arts in our region and how they prefer to be contacted. Details in the next e-Newsletter.

Local identity, Ms Soma Shearman, is proud to announce the arrival of her beautiful octuplets. Born on the 15th March, by home birth, each baby weighed only 1lb! In spite of having no medical attention, both mother and babies are recovering well.
Soma, a single mother who does not qualify for welfare, regretfully announced that she is unable to support 8 children and will be giving them all up for adoption in the near future.

Joke of the month

GREAT TRUTHS ABOUT GROWING OLD
1) Growing old is mandatory; growing up is optional.
2) Forget the health food. I need all the preservatives I can get.
3) When you fall down, you wonder what else you can do while you're down there.
4) You're getting old when you get the same sensation from a rocking chair that you once got from a roller coaster.
(5) It's frustrating when you know all the answers but nobody bothers to ask you the questions.
6) Time may be a great healer, but it's a lousy beautician.
7) Wisdom comes with age, but sometimes age comes alone
