Bill Munro

Bill’s association with Jean-Pierre and Tropic Sun Theatre dates back to the 1980’s and the Company’s James Cook University days when Bill was the Company’s first administrator.

Bill has been involved in the arts industry in Australia for more than thirty years, and most of this has been in Townsville and this region.

Highlights of this career include coordinating the Bicentennial Touring Exhibition and the centenary celebrations and re-enactment of the Shearer’s Strike at Barcaldine, which in turn saw the birth of the ALP. He has directed more than 30 major musicals in Townsville. In 2007 Bill performed in his first ever “straight theatre” performance in THE DRESSER.
