Lynda Mullamphy
Lynda became involved in Theatre in Townsville in 1978, firstly joining a young theatre troupe which performed in schools and at other shopping centres throughout the region.
After a short stint in kids television with Telecasters NQ she completed Theatre at high school appearing for the first time at the Civic Theatre in 1981 and 1982 as leading roles in the school plays - “Prime Time Crime” and “The Marriage Bit”.
In 1981 she made her first appearance with an amateur theatre company at the Civic Theatre with Summerstock’s “South Pacific” where she first met D’Arcy who she married in 1987.

Lynda has played major roles in many productions including – Frenchy in “Grease”, Cecily in “Importance of Being Earnest”, Sorrell in “Hay Fever”, Gerty in “Oklahoma”, Cinders in “Cinderella Rocks Woodstock”, Truvy in “Steel Magnolias” and Joanie in “The Full Monty” (2005). Lynda has also appeared in “Sentimental Bloke”, “The Boyfriend”, Gilbert & Sullivans’ “Tarantara”, “Orpheus and the Underworld”, “Godspell”, “Jesus Christ Superstar”, “Pippin” and “Fame”.
Lynda joined NQOMT as a high school student in 1982 and has sinced on the executive filling the roles of committee member and Vice-President, along with performing many behind the scenes roles including publicity, marketing, props, make-up, costumes, dressing, crewing and Production Management over the years.
In 2005 she appeared in her first production with Tropic Sun – “Deathtrap”, and followed this with “Boston Marriage” in 2006. Lynda appeared in Tropic Sun's production of “The Dresser” in 2007 where she worked with Bill Munro and Bernie Lanigan, with whom she has been close friends for over 25 years.
