Based on actual recollections of Townsville residents, with humour and much flair the play recounts the lives of some colourful characters who lived through the unsettling days of the Battle of the Coral Sea.
This was the time when American Forces came over and the population of the town grew to five times what it had been before – a time that saw the start of momentous changes in the very character of Australia.
Even if you weren’t there, Tropic Sun’s talented actors, the costumes, the props and certainly the music will transport you to those heady and exciting days!
